Petersburg artist Evgraf Pajmanov was born in 1949 in Chuvashiya. In 1974 he has been accepted on competition in the Leningrad Academy of arts (I. E. Repin institute), in a workKIOSK of V. M. Oreshin. In 1982 he has successfully ended academy (degree work "On Yamal" has noted been especially and got by a museum of People of the North).
In his creativity Eugraph Paimanov adheres to realistic tradition.
Eugraph Paimanov is the master of a landscape. His "Autumn" is lyrical and at the same time bright and emotional. Still-lifes of Eugraph Paimanov are colorful and lush.
The significant place in his creativity have historical subjects and genre stages: "Peter the Great and Menshikov", "The fledglings of Peter the Great", "Buffoons", "Bath", "Russian women", "The Young wife", a lyrical portrait of A. S. Pushkin "Wonderful moments".
Since 1987 Eugraph Paimanov is the participant of many thematic exhibitions: "The Forum of youth", "The Leningrad autumn", "Artists to children", "The Modern portrait", "The Greater Volga" (Cheboksary), "Leningrad─Moskow" and personal exhibitions: St. Petersburg (1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1994), Helsinki (1989), Turku (1989), Boston - Philadelphia - Los Angeles (1991), Jerusalem (1992), Cologne - Hanover (1993). In 2005 5 his works are exhibited at exhibition ARTINDEX at the Ethnographic museum (St.-Petersburg) among the best modern artists of St.-Petersburg. (see the catalogue "ARTINDEX").
